Enaco, the national company of coca, was established in 1949 and from this date has been the only company authorized in Peru for the commercialization of coca leaf and its derivatives.

Mainly Enaco control extends to 6 coca-growing valleys that surround Cusco, as Quillabamba or Kosñipata, leaving uncontrolled 12 coca-producing valleys in other parts of the country.
