A weekly cremation is common and done by each region. In the case of La Paz is incinerated at the base of the FELCN in La Rinconada. For incineration must be present a public prosecutor, representatives of the leadership of the FELCN and representatives of the agents who did the confiscation. In addition the police must make a written and photographic record of the material incinerated.
Despite these measures corruption is deeply rooted in Bolivian administration, recently a group of prosecutors and police who replaced cocaine with flour and sold cocaine to a drug gang were captured in the state of Santa Cruz.
