The Special Project for Control and Reduction of Coca cultivation in Alto Huallaga (CORAH) was created in 1982 to control and reduce coca cultivation in Alto Huallaga initially.
Today is spreading to more coca production areas of the country and have an annual target of 10000 hectares of coca eradicated. Nowdays CORAH program counts with over a thousand troops throughout the country between police and eradicators and thanks to the support provided by the U.S. government.
